PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably store facsimile transmission/reception results and transmitted and received image data in a facsimile server in a digital composite machine capable of transmitting/receiving facsimile. SOLUTION: The digital composite machine 5 comprises a facsimile transmitter/receiver 551; a transmission buffer 552 and a reception buffer 553; and a network interface 511 for transmitting transmission/reception recording data and transmission data, or reception data by a facsimile transmitter/receiver 551 to a facsimile server 1 connected via a network 9. When communication with the server 1 is enabled, transmission/reception recording data and transmission/reception data are transmitted to the server 1. When communication with the server 1 is disabled, reading transmission data and printing reception data are stopped. Communication with the server 1 recovers, reading the transmission data and printing the reception data are restarted, and the transmission is restarted in the transmission/reception recording data and transmission/reception data to the server 1.
