PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a voltage regulator whose dynamic range of output current rarely oscillates largely. SOLUTION: There provided is a phase compensation control circuit 7 that controls a frequency where phase compensation is performed for the voltage VFB, by controlling a time constant of a phase compensation circuit 4 by performing short circuit control of a phase compensation resistance R3 according to a current output from a driver transistor 6 detected by a current detector 15, for the phase compensation circuit 4 that performs phase compensation by advancing a phase of the return voltage VFB to an operation amplifier 5.
