摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing for a rack/pinion mechanism capable of achieving sufficient load rating in a non-fall-out system with a simple constitution not having a bearing ring, and improving durability and assemblability. SOLUTION: This roller bearing comprises two inner and outer cages 3, 13 formed into the ring-shape having a plurality of pockets 4 arranged in the circumferential direction, and a plurality of rollers 2 retained over the pockets 4 of two cages 3, 13. The plurality of rollers 2 are rolled while kept into contact with an outer peripheral face of a pinion shaft 24a of a pinion gear and an inner peripheral face of a bearing mounting hole of a housing 27. The inner cage 3 retains the rollers 2 from an inside diameter side by pole portions 5 respectively between the pockets 4 between the rollers 2, and the outer cage 13 retains the rollers 2 from an outside diameter side by pole portions 5 respectively between the pockets 4, between the rollers 2.
