摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate and control a fuel pressure while restraining fluctuation of the fuel pressure even in a low flow rate region wherein an interrelationship between a delivery amount and an operation amount of a fuel pump does not show linear characteristics. SOLUTION: In the fuel supply device for the internal combustion engine, basic drive current (basic operation amount) of the fuel pump is calculated from a fuel consumption amount and a target fuel pressure of the internal combustion engine (S101). Next, the basic drive current and a set value are compared, and it is determined whether the interrelationship between the delivery amount and the operation amount of the fuel pump is in the low flow rate region wherein the linear characteristics are not shown or not (S102). When the basic drive current is equal to or more than the set value and the interrelationship is in the linear characteristic region, the drive current is feed-back controlled by the actual fuel pressure and the target value (S103). When the basic drive current is lower than the set value and the interrelationship is in a non-linear characteristic region, an opening of an electromagnetic relief valve is controlled by the actual fuel pressure and the target value, and thereby, the delivery amount of the fuel from a fuel pressure-feed passage is feed-back controlled (S104).
