PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a windowpane on vehicle which can improve the appearance quality of a glass end portion and wear resistance, and its manufacture method. SOLUTION: The end portion 1a of a glass plate 1 cut into a predetermined shape is processed by the chamfering treatment (R surface polishing) of an R surface processing using a diamond wheel. An application liquid 3 is applied to the end portion 1a of this glass plate 1 using a woven cloth such as clean-chief or the like infiltrated with the application liquid 3. The application liquid 3 is an alcohol solution including: a silicon alkoxide as a silica component; an organic material; ITO (indium tin oxide) particulates; a strong acid; and water of the number of moles exceeding four times of the total number of moles of the silicon atom in the silicon alkoxide. The glass plate 1 to which this application liquid 3 was applied is dried for about 5 minutes at an ambient temperature, put in an oven warmed at 200°C beforehand and heated for ten minutes, and cooled to obtain the glass plate 1 having an infrared light cutting film.
