PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a star wheel device which accurately adjusts the size of pockets 18 in accordance with the size of containers 16 and has good operability. SOLUTION: Abutment parts 8b, 10b to the containers 16 are formed on the outer peripheries of upper and lower rotating disks 8, 10 at circumferentially even intervals, and by one of the abutment parts 8b, 10b of the respective rotating disks 8, 10, the pockets 18 holding the containers 16 are formed. An adjustment member 20 is arranged between the upper and lower rotating disks 8, 10, and both end parts of the adjustment member 20 are connected to the rotating disks 8, 10 by connection pins 22, 24, respectively. When the adjustment member 20 is horizontally moved, the both rotating disks 8, 10 are relatively rotated, so as to change the size of the pockets 18. The movement of the adjustment member 20 is performed by transmitting the rotation of an erected adjustment shaft 30 via bevel gears. The rotation of the adjustment shaft 30 is measured by a measuring means 50, and thus, the movement of the adjustment member 20 is accurately performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
