PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention device for an elevator which arranges a crime prevention camera in substantially vertical direction by installing a mirror for the crime prevention camera installed in a wing wall of a cage. SOLUTION: This crime prevention device for the elevator provided with the crime prevention camera in the cage of the elevator is provided with: a crime prevention camera cover 2 provided in an opening part formed in the wing wall 1 of the cage having thickness set to be thin or a wing wall constituted integrally with an operation panel 1a; a crime prevention camera 6 arranged in substantially vertical direction on a rear surface side of the wing wall and arranged by inclining slightly toward a wing wall side; and mirrors 9, 10 provided by inclining on a rear surface side of the crime prevention camera cover and just below the crime prevention camera.
