PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension mechanism for a screw-type elevator. SOLUTION: A fixation nut 6 is an element for supporting a screw shaft 3 on a support frame 1, and a lower surface of the fixation nut 6 is designed to be a projecting spherical surface. When the screw shaft 3 of the suspension mechanism of the screw-type elevator is not parallel with a cage rail, the screw shaft 3 is oscillated around the spherical end surface by torque by the lateral force, to eliminate the non-parallel force of the mechanism. In addition, since the screw shaft 3 is limited by a rotation limiting element and cannot be rotated arbitrarily, elevator control can be also performed in the state the screw shaft 3 can be oscillated.
