PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission type screen designed so as to remove reflection of unnecessary outdoor light and to improve contrast of a rear projection television. SOLUTION: The transmission type screen is used for a rear projection television. The average value Y1 of 450-520 nm light transmittance is smaller than the average value Y2 of 400-450 nm light transmittance and the average value Y3 of 520-570 nm light transmittance.
