APPARATUS AND METHOD OF VIDEO DECODING TO ALTERNATIVELY STORE LINES OF SCREEN IN PIXELS, AND METHOD OF STORING REFERENCE SCREEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method of video decoding to alternatively store lines of a screen in pixels, and to provide a method of storing a reference screen.

SOLUTION: The apparatus includes a memory for storing M lines (M is a natural number) of the screen in N interleaved lines (N is a natural number smaller than M), and a decoder for receiving the interleaved lines and decoding the screen, wherein the pixel data of the partial lines among the M lines are alternatively stored in respective interleaved lines; thereby the decoding speed of the screen can be improved, and the band width can be narrowed by reducing the latency in the decoding process.
