PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost optical connector and substrate that have a simple structure and less restrictions for materials to be used. SOLUTION: A light emitting device module 21, in which an optical waveguide 14 for transmitting an optical signal is formed and in which conversion between an electric signal and an optical signal is performed, includes a substrate body 10 mounted in a position 10c for bearing transmission of the optical signal between the substrate body and the optical waveguide 14, and an optical connector 2 mounted on the substrate body 10 and bearing transmission of the optical signal between the substrate body 10 and the outside. The optical connector 2 is composed of a connector body 26 for bearing transmission of light and a fixing pin 13 for fixing the optical connector body 26 at a position 10d where an optical signal is transmitted between the optical connector body 26 and the optical waveguide 14. Also, the substrate body 10 and the connector body 26 are provided with respective pin inserting holes 10e, 26c through which the fixing pin 13 is inserted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
