PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overhead traveling crane which saves on wires provided between a ground controller and the crane by installing power/control/instrumentation/accessory equipment in a main structure of a crane girder. SOLUTION: The girder 2 of the overhead traveling crane is provided with: the controller provided with a power circuit and a control circuit; and a communication device provided with a sequencer 4 and an optical cable 12.
