PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food packaging material which is composed of a resin composition being excellent in retentivity of an ultraviolet absorber and which is excellent in freshness retention of a packaged food or the like without decreasing ultraviolet abosorbing cutting ability during a long term storing or/and using. SOLUTION: The food packaging material is composed of a composition obtained by blending a benzophenone based or benzotriazole based ultraviolet absorber in an ionomer of ethylene-(meta) acrylic acid copolymer having a divalent metal species as an ion source and has ultraviolet absorbing function.
