<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve precision of a measurement process by a color correction process suitable for a color of a part to be measured. <P>SOLUTION: A color correction data file 101, and an inspection data file 102 are set prior to an inspection, and are saved in a memory 15. A correction coefficient calculated by using color data of a reference color belonging to respective groups formed by combination of three reference colors is saved in a correction coefficient table 104 in the color correction data file 101. On the other hand, detected color data and a reference color group (an optimal group) most suitable to the color indicated by the detected color data are registered on every inspection area in the inspection data file 102. At a time of the inspection, correction coefficient corresponding to the registered optimal group is read from a correction coefficient table 104 on every inspection region, and the color of the color image in the inspection region is corrected by the correction coefficient.
