<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector hardly generating unexpected ejection of a card caused by an impact of falling down or the like without damaging card insertion property, only by applying such a simple countermeasure that the shape of a bottom face of a release passage of a cam body is changed only a little. <P>SOLUTION: A release passage 26, releasing an end part of a locking pin from locking position "a" to a return passage starting part 23a of a loop groove 21 when a slider is pushed in from a push-in position, is formed so as to cross a longitudinal direction of the slider which is free in sliding at a side part of a card insertion space. A slanted face 32, having a slant angle to a bottom face of the locking position "a" and slanting upward from the locking position toward upper end side of a stepped face 31, is formed on the bottom face of the release passage 26.
