A system and a method for treating organic waste by using an anaerobic digestion method, which accelerate the digestion of organic waste contained in food garbage, reduce the amount of sludge generated from the treatment of organic waste, and can recycle gas and suspended solids generated from the treatment of organic waste, are provided. A system for treating organic waste by using an anaerobic digestion method comprises: an injection tank(210) into which food garbage, agricultural waste, etc. are injected; an automatic crushing and sorting machine(220) installed at one side of the injection tank to crush organic solids and separate adulterations; a retention tank(250) which is connected to the automatic crushing and sorting machine, and into which automatically crushed food garbage is injected; an acid fermentation tank(280) which is connected to the retention tank, and liquefies solids of the organic waste by hydrolyzing and acid-fermenting organic waste; an anaerobic digestion tank(290) connected to the acid fermentation tank to decompose the non-reacted polymeric organic matter into carbon dioxide and methane gas by digesting non-reacted polymeric organic matter; a gas holder connected to the anaerobic digestion tank to store methane gas; and a solid separating and dewatering equipment connected to the anaerobic digestion tank to separate suspended solids and waste liquid from water to be treated, wherein the system further comprises: a first heat exchanger(260) installed between the retention tank and the acid fermentation tank and connected to the digestion tank to primarily heat organic waste supplied from the retention tank to the acid fermentation tank using heat of high temperature water to be treated, which is generated in the digestion tank; and a second heat exchanger(270) installed between the first heat exchanger and the acid fermentation tank to secondly heat organic waste primarily heated by the first heat exchanger. |
