<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens protective member which is easy in workability and in which the defect rate and manufacturing cost are held down low by considering the abrasion powder not to adhere to a lens surface even if the objective lens protective member has worn out. <P>SOLUTION: The objective lens protective member 1 is prepared at a holding part 3 of an objective lens 2 which carries out focusing of a laser beam to an information recording surface of the optical disk by projecting to the optical disk side rather than this objective lens 2 and prevent hitting of the objective lens 2 and the optical disk.
