<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a light-weighted and compact separator for fuel cell suitable for an automobile or the like, improved in each property of mechanical strength, flexibility, and gas impermeability, of which a preparatory molded body made of expansive graphite excellent in conductivity and molding property is formed by using a paper manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The separator for fuel cell 4 is formed by press molding a preparatory molded body 14 formed in a plate shape using a molding die 15. The preparatory molded body 14 is obtained by a paper manufacturing method using a raw material which is made by adding a fibrous filling material in expansive graphite, and has a phenol resin impregnated after the paper manufacture. The modulus of impregnation of phenol resin is 5-30% and the material ratio of the expanded graphite is set to 60-90%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
