<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic device in which the positioning accuracy of a sensor and a motor is kept by making the motor resistant to impact caused in physical distribution of the device or handling of the device by a user, a sensor part is prevented from contacting with or being damaged by other components in assembly, and further reliability in the action of the sensor in use is increased, and a device main body is made compact. <P>SOLUTION: A supporting base 19 on which a photointerrupter 17 and a substrate 18 are mounted is positioned and fixed by the motor 16.
