<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a disk and a pad of a new disk brake early conform to each other without requiring frequent brake use as much as possible during driving of a new vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: In a disk brake which has a piston to be pulled back in releasing of braking by restoring force of elastic deformation developed during breaking in an elastic ring 30 frictionally engaged with an outer peripheral surface of the piston 16, the friction engagement force exhibited by the outer peripheral surface of the piston with respect to the elastic ring in a first stage until the abrasion of a pad 24 reaches a predetermined value is made lower than that in at least an early stage of the subsequent second stage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
