PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning liquid discharging structure of a liquid jet device which can simplify a cleaning liquid discharging operation in a preshipment check, and improve freedom to the design change of the liquid jet device itself. SOLUTION: A printer 10 includes a suction pump 26 which sucks ink from inside a cap 21 for sealing the nozzle surface of a recording head 17 and a recovery tank 13 for the ink to be discharged from the suction pump 26. The printer main body includes a discharging aperture part 30, facing a recovery aperture 35 of the mounted recovery tank 13, with which an ink discharging tube 25 of the suction pump 26 is connected. In addition, a cleaning liquid discharger 40 for discharging a cleaning liquid from the recording head 17 includes a spent liquid tank 42 for the recovered cleaning liquid, a cleaning liquid discharging pump 41 which makes the internal pressure of the spent liquid tank 42 negative, and a connecting aperture part 37 which is connected with the discharging aperture part 30, of the printer main body from which the recovery tank 13 is removed, and recovers the cleaning liquid to be sucked into the spent liquid tank 42.
