PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change a standard type pipe coupling of transmitting propulsion in the pipe axis direction between a socket and a spigot, to a reinforcing type pipe coupling corresponding to large propulsion at a laying site of a pipe. SOLUTION: The spigot 14 of the other pipe 13 is inserted inside the socket 12 of one pipe 11, and the propulsion in the pipe axis direction is transmitted between the socket 12 and the spigot 14. A first annular body 31 and a second annular body 32 are out-fitted to a part of the spigot 14 outside of the socket 12. The first annular body 31 contacts with an end surface 33 of the socket 12, and the second annular body 32 is fitted in an annular groove 30 formed on the outer periphery of the spigot 14. The first annular body 31 and the second annular body 32 mutually contact by tapered surfaces 35 and 42 gradually diametrically expanding for going away from the socket 12. The first annular body 31 is centered to the spigot 14 by a plurality of centering bolts 38 in the periphery direction contacting with an outside surface of the spigot 14 by radially penetrating through the first annular body 31.
