PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make improvement in the problem of corrosion of a nip adjusting mechanism for a water feed roller of a water fountain roller caused by that the mechanism is located near the water fountain roller and besides the problem of operational difficulty caused by that an operating portion is located in a part wherein components are densely aggregated, in a dampening arrangement of a rotary offset press. SOLUTION: Nip adjusting equipment for the water fountain roller has a frame which supports the dampening arrangement, an attaching-detaching arm which supports the water fountain roller, a supporting shaft which is provided on the frame and to which one end side of the attaching-detaching arm is rotatably fitted, a pin which is provided at the other end of the attaching-detaching arm, a water fountain roller attaching-detaching mechanism which is provided between a pin provided at one end of the frame and another pin provided on the frame, and the water fountain roller nip adjusting mechanism which is provided between the water fountain roller attaching-detaching mechanism and the other pin provided on the frame.
