The method involves arranging at least one section of a line in a length of conduit and filing the conduit with a filler up to a fill level above the lower edge pf the line section, whereby the filler supports the section when laid. When the section of line is arranged in the conduit it is suspended and it remains suspended during filling at least until the line section is supported by the filler. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for implementing the inventive method.
