A slide type faucet having a water amount control structure is provided to regulate the amount of water by sliding a lever, thereby improving the convenience for a user. A slide type faucet having a water amount control structure includes a body section(10), a cartridge(20), and a lever(30). The body section has at least one discharge opening through which water is discharged. The cartridge is rotatably engaged with the body section to regulate the amount of water discharged through the discharge opening. A transverse shaft is formed on one side of an exposed end of the cartridge. The lever, which is slidable, is engaged with an upper portion of the body section in one direction. The lever is engaged with the transverse shaft of the cartridge at least in one region to regulate the amount of water by rotating the cartridge through the transverse shaft.
