A terminal and a method for performing DM based on a threshold thereof are provided to perform the threshold-based DM according to a scheduling context by receiving the scheduling context including the DM scheduled based on the threshold from a server and enable the server to manage the terminal based on a threshold-based schedule by generating the scheduling context including the DM scheduled based on the threshold. A scheduling context installing module(211) installs a DM command and more than one scheduling context, which includes a condition for performing the DM command if a value of a DM object of the terminal reaches the threshold, received from the DM server(100). A condition matching module(212) samples and compares the value of the DM object with the threshold according to the installed scheduling context. A task executing module(213) performs the DM command if the value of the DM object reaches the threshold. The condition matching module samples and compares the value of each DM object of the terminal with the threshold of each DM object. The condition matching module uses an address or an ID of the DM object to identify the DM object to be sampled.
