Medical work flow system

摘要

The system has a handheld terminal with a code scanner and a wireless transmitter. The code scanner reads scan codes corresponding to patient data and instructions. The transmitter transmits the codes read by the scanner to a central server (12). The server initiates a process in response to the codes. The server is in data communication with a peripheral device e.g. printer (20). Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a method of controlling processes in a wireless communication system (b) a method of notifying a user of a patient event.
