A COUNTER ELECTRODE FOR PHOTOVOLTAIC CELL USING SUPPORTED CATALYST

A counter electrode for a photovoltaic cell using a supported catalyst is provided to improve catalyst activity and photoelectric efficiency by increasing the contact area with an electrolyte layer and using the counter electrode. A catalyst layer is formed on a transparent substrate by using a supported catalyst. The supported catalyst includes a mesopore porous carbon and a metal catalyst particle distributed and supported in the mesopore porous carbon. The metal catalyst particle is selected from a group consisting of Pt, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Al, Mo, Se, Sn, Ru, Pd, W, Ir, Os, Rh, Nb, Ta, Pb, Bi, and compound thereof.
