A disc brake is provided to smoothly move a pad plate forward and rearward by using a pad spring having a four point support structure capable of obtaining a uniform and stable load. A disc brake includes a disc, a pair of pad plates(34), a carrier(35), and a pad spring(40) provided with a first supporting unit(41), a horizontal supporting protrusion(42), a second supporting unit(43), and a bent piece(44). The disc is rotated together with a wheel of a vehicle. The pad plates surround both side surfaces of the disc so as to be moved forward and rearward. The carrier has a pair of support jaws protruding in the direction of the pad plates to be engaged with the pad plate. The pad spring is installed between the carrier and the pad plate. The pad spring is supported at four points by a pair of first support sections making contact with the carrier and a pair of second support sections.
