METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TESTING UBIQUITOUS SERVICE OR DEVICE USING UNIFORM OBJECT MODEL

A ubiquitous service/device test method using a uniform object model and an apparatus thereof are provided to save the time and cost required for constructing a ubiquitous environment by verifying the validity of an associated device or service without physically constructing the ubiquitous environment. A ubiquitous service/device test apparatus(100) comprises a profile management part(110), a user interface part(140), and an emulator engine part(120). The profile management part stores and manages profile information a user establishes. The user interface part is used to establish the profile information and a target test device or service. The emulator engine part creates uniform objects for the target device or service, based on the profile information, emulates the uniform objects according to time or events, and deduces the current situation from state changes of the uniform objects. In case an abnormal situation occurs, the emulator engine part displays it through the user interface part.
