A vessel to hold e.g. corrosive liquids, and suitable for space travel vehicles, giving a delivery free from gases, consists of a double walled cylinder with a porous inner wall of a stainless steel grid, a plastics mesh or a porous sintered material lining, to give a capillary effect for the liquid, over the whole of the inside, and increasing in size at the outlet. An inlet tube passes through the other end, and alternative designs include a vessel with concave ends, a vessel with an outer corrugated wall, and one with a smooth outer wall and a corrugated mesh lining. Another design is cylindrical and only the sides carry the mesh lining, but the discharge outlet is mounted on the side. |
