A machine for winding of the plaits contains mounted successively the means for wire supply, cutter located on the holder and drum with grippers, the means for orientation of plait with the clamps connected with two mechanisms of twisting of the wire ends connected with the drive, and control system. It additionally contains the supporting means located between holder of cutter and the drum, said means consist of a stretching device mounted on the axis fixed on the holder and interconnected with pneumatic cylinder. The clamps of the means of orientation of plait are located at diametrically opposite points so that the axis of each of them coincides with the axis of the mechanism of twisting of the wire ends, and the clamps of drum are located in the diametrically opposite points on the side turned to the side of the means of plait orientation. In this case, the means for supply of wire is executed in the form of interconnected leading and tightening disks with a flat executed on leading disk, the arc length of which is equal to 0.95-1.2 of the distance between the cutting plane of cutter and the axis of drum.
