A method of restoring the worn internal cylindrical surface with uneven wear on the height, mainly of cast iron and steel components of the type of cylinder sleeves of internal combustion engines, by creating a different in the value gradient of temperatures in accordance with the value of wear in this section of component under the action of the source of heating and cooling consists in that the gradient of temperatures of different value on the generatrix of internal surface of sleeve is created simultaneously.
