A mounted top gathering machine contains a frame, whereon support and feeler wheels and blades to pick up tops are fixed, and on the frame drive shafts with knives for high cutting of the top and beaters for cleaning root heads are mounted on bearing assemblies, and a small-size frame of a aftercleaner of root heads, whereon supporting and adjusting slides are fixed, is hingedly attached to the frame through a mounting mechanism and on the small-size frame on the bearing assemblies drive shafts with beaters of aftercleaning are mounted. The small-size frame is arranged hingedly onto the mounting mechanism in such a manner as to allow free movement in the vertical plane and rotating as regards to the horizontal axis in such a manner that the drive shafts with the beaters of aftercleaning are arranged at angle ? and divided in two by the vertical plane along the line of rows, and on the small-size frame a driving mechanism to change the rotational direction of the shafts with the beaters of aftercleaning is installed.
