A panel 1 such as a glazing panel, partition panel, doorframe or display unit is fitted into a generally co-planar frame 2 or aperture by means of a resiliently mounted element which can extend from a position flush with the panel edge into a position where it mates with the frame 2. As shown in Fig 2, a male element 6 resiliently mounted as by a spring 7 in a recess 9 adjacent panel edge 10 is extendable so as to be received in a female recess 8 in frame 2 of planar member 3: in an alternative arrangement (Fig 3, not shown) a female member 6 in recess 9 resiliently receives a male protrusion 11 on the edge 10 of planar member 3. In the arrangement of Figure 5, resilient member 36 of panel 31 is lockingly received in groove 38 of planar member 33. |
