PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Fe-base amorphous alloy having high saturation magnetization and excellent soft magnetic properties and combining high glass forming capacity with excellent workability. SOLUTION: This Fe-base amorphous alloy is characterized by that it is represented by the compositional formula: Fe100-x-y-zCoxREyBz (wherein, x, y and z expressing composition ratio are atomic percentages and satisfy, by atom, 0%<x<=30%, 2.0%<=y<=7.0% and 16%<=z<=35%, respectively), and moreover, the temperature interval ΔTx in supercooled liquid region represented by the equation: ΔTx=Tx-Tg (wherein, Tx means initial crystallization temperature; and Tg means glass transition temperature) is >=45 deg.C. A thin strip having <=200 μm thickness and >=95% volume ratio of amorphous phase can be obtained by liquisol quenching using rolls. Further, a bar or strip, having <=1 mm diameter or thickness and >=90% volume ratio of amorphous phase, can be obtained by gravity die casting. The Fe-base amorphous alloy has the following magnetic properties: >=1.20 T saturation magnetization (Bs); <=15 A/m coercive force (Hc); <=30×10-6 magnetostriction constant (λs); >=8,000 magnetic permeability (μe) at 1 kHz. |
