A TV recording/watching system comprising recording-only computers and watching-only computers is provided to maximize economical efficiency and convenience by recording a plurality of TV programs with a low performance computer and watching the TV programs with a high performance computer. The system includes the recording-only computers, the watching-only computers, an embedded or network storage device of each computer, and the network connecting the devices. The watching-only computer makes a reservation for recording the TV program to the recording-only computer. The recording-only computer includes a timer automatically turning on the computer on the reserved time, the embedded or network storage device, and a TV card. The recording-only computer stores a moving picture received from the TV card to the embedded or network storage device together with channel and recording time information. The watching-only computer receives contents stored in the recording-only computer through the network and displays the received contents to a display device.
