The invention relates to an individualized security document (1) and a methodfor individualizing a security document. Said individualized security document(1) is composed of a number of sheets (12 to 15) that are joined together by meansof sewing or gluing. Furthermore, a single-layer or multilayer foil member (2)that is provided with an individualized optical security element and is foldedin the sewed or glued area is integrated into the security document by means ofsewing or gluing. The fold divides the foil member (2) into a first part (21) onwhich the individualized optical security element is disposed and a second,preferably flap-shaped part (22) that is permanently connected to a plasticmember comprising at least one machine-readable security element. Said at leastone machine-readable security element is equipped with an electronic circuitfor RF identification. |
