A coding method and a device for determining an absolute angular position are provided to reliably code data by an absolute position measuring device using a high speed data coding method. A coding device for determining an absolute angular position includes a coder, a sensor, a signal processor, and a central processing unit. The coder is integrally formed on a rotation member and transfers two pseudo signals. The sensor is fixed to a reading distance from the coder, and senses the two pseudo signals from the coder. The signal processor processes the signals from the sensor. The central processing unit is connected to the signal processor. The signal processor includes coding part. The coding part corrects a signal C according to a receipt of data code in order to generate m triplets and different binary triplets. The central processing unit senses the triplets.
