An apparatus for preventing an overheat of an electric warming mat is provided to prevent an accident due to the overheating of an electric heat wire by automatically breaking power supplied to the electric heat wire when a heater is overheated. An apparatus for preventing an overheat of an electric warming mat includes a heater(10), a temperature control unit(20), a first overheating preventing unit(30), and a timer. The heater(10) has a heating wire(11) and a temperature sensing wire(12). The temperature sensing wire(12) senses the temperature of the heating wire(11). The temperature control unit(20) sets and controls current applied to the heating wire(11) of the heater(10). The first overheat preventing unit(30) has a heating resistor(R1) and a bimetal switch(SW1). The timer breaks AC(Alternating Current) power supplied to the heating wire(11) of the heater(10) through the temperature control unit(20) by closing a gate of a triac(43) by outputting an off signal from a microcomputer to a photo triac(42). |
