The impeller has two cover plates (2, 4), which are spaced apart from one another in an axial direction (X) and are connected to one another. Blade parts (12, 14) are arranged between the two cover plates and extend from an inner diameter of the impeller to an outer diameter of the impeller. The blade parts have a continuous slot (16) extending from inner edges of the blade parts situated at the inner diameter of the impeller to outer edges (26, 28) of the blade parts situated at the outer diameter of the impeller. The impeller is made of plastic.
