A seal for an open-joint door or window frame is described, said seal comprising a central body, two legs able to engage together with a tooth of a section and a flat top end surface, in which said seal is symmetrical with respect to a longitudinal plane and said top end surface is substantially perpendicular to said longitudinal plane. The seal is shaped so as to allow efficient positioning of ends cut at 90° (so as to form a corner seal) also without the need for a corner piece. In order to improve the sealing action in the corner, the seal parts may be glued to each other.
