A set-top box and a VOD(Video On Demand) service reception system including the same are provided to enable a user to use a VOD service provided through an internet on a television screen and use a lot of contents without an update through a service provider by allowing the user to use the VOD service in the set-top box. A cable modem(110) interfaces with an internet. A graphic part(140) converts a VOD service received through the cable modem into a type capable of being recognized by a user. The VOD service is media data and a terrestrial broadcasting program. A control part(130) generates a message for requesting a list of VOD services and transmits the message through the cable modem to a service provider for providing the VOD services. The graphic part converts the list, received from the service provider through the cable modem in response to the message, into the type capable of being recognized by the user.
