The gripper handling system used on a sheet processing machine such as a rotary printing machine [6,7] provides for two coordinated motion cycles of the gripper [58]. The cycle has a to and fro swinging action of the centre of inertia [34] and a linear translational reciprocating movement [33]. The mechanism has linkages and control rods.
