<p>A ceramic matrix laminate is provided to secure the high strength to density ratio and stiffness required for mechanical applications. The ceramic matrix laminate is composed of a first face plate(105) with predetermined density; a second face plate with predetermined density; and core materials(103) with predetermined density disposed between the first and second face plates. The core material is combined to the first and second face plates by using a chemical vapor process. The density of the core material is lower than the density of the first and second face plates. In particular, the density of the core material is about 0.2~2.0g/cm^3. Each density of the first and second face plates is 1.9~2.5g/cm^3. The core material contains open cell foam.</p> |
