A display system is provided to enable a display apparatus to automatically identify different video signals, selectively inputted through one input port, according to whether an identification signal exists, and process the identified video signals. The first video device outputs the first video signal and generates an identification signal for identifying the first video signal. The second video device outputs the second video signal. A display apparatus receives a signal outputted from one of the first and second video devices, processes the first video signal if an identification signal exists in the received signal and processes the second video signal if the identification signal does not exist in the received signal. The display apparatus includes a signal input part(30) for receiving a signal from one of the first and second video devices, the first video signal processing part(50), the second video signal processing part(60), a selection part(40) for selectively outputting a video signal, inputted through the signal input part, to one of the first and second video signal processing parts, and a control part(80) for controlling the selection part.
