A method device for transporting and cleaning tuberous roots in which, prior to the delivery onto cleaning working elements, horizontal forward movement of a heap is discretely racked in that vertical, with the following horizontal throwing onto a resilient vertical separating surface, and a four-blade spinner, the drive axis of which is parallel to the belt of the apron, is brought to the outlet end of the horizontal feed apron, the rotation of the blades is directed upwards. On the side of thespinner a cleaning surface shaped as sphere formed by round longitudinal rods is mounted vertically on resilient supports to which in the lower part a roller cleaner is brought and the reverse side contains driving cleaning cylindrical brushes of an elastic material. Flat blades of the spinner are made as transversal rectilinear rods, one of the side edges of which contains fixed rectangular vertical plates.
