A data storing method for a USB memory device is provided to enable the other image forming device to directly receive the desired data from the image forming device storing the data by storing an information file, which includes information required for receiving the data from other image forming devices, to the USB memory device. A command of transferring the data to the USB memory device from the image forming device is received(S410). It is checked whether a memory saving data storing mode of the USB memory device is selected or not(S420). If the memory saving data storing mode is selected, the information file including the information, which is required for connecting to the networked image forming devices and receiving the data from the image forming device, is generated, transferred, and stored to the USB memory device(S430). The other image forming device receives a data file stored in the USB memory device. If the data file is corresponding to the information file, the other image forming device receives the data corresponding to the information by connecting to the image forming device according to the information included in the information file.
