A power supply is provided to receive the selected one of a plurality of alternative voltages by using a determining circuit to determine whether a connection instruction signal from a connection instruction signal generation circuit and a connection instruction signal from a voltage detection circuit are equal. A power supply includes power terminals(2a,2b,2c), output terminals(6P,6N), a rectifying circuit(6), a connection circuit(10), inverters(16a,16b), a control circuit(26), a connection instruction signal generation circuit(32), a voltage detection circuit(38), and a determination unit(26d). The rectifying circuit(6) rectifies a normal three-phase alternative voltage and generates the rectified voltage between the output terminals(6P,6N). The output terminals(6P,6N) are connected to both ends(10a,10b) of the connection circuit(10). The connection circuit(10) has relay contacting points(12a,12b,12c,12d) connected to each other in series. The inverters(16a,16b) generate an RF(Radio Frequency) voltage. The control circuit(26) controls a thyristor(8), relay driving circuits(14a,14b), and the inverters(16a,16b). The determination unit(26d) determines whether a connection instruction signal outputted from the voltage detection circuit(38) and a connection instruction signal outputted from the connection instruction signal generation circuit(32) are equal.
