A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) terminal and a method for providing a preview service are provided to allow a user to rapidly recognize a broadcasting service by simultaneously providing a preview image with respect to the broadcasting service and a still image. A DMB terminal(402) for providing a preview service in a DMB system including a DMB station(400) which provides ensembles including at least one broadcasting service to the DMB terminal includes a DMB receiver(408) and a controller(406). The DMB receiver receives the ensembles. The controller receives all the ensembles, generates preview images with respect to broadcasting services included in the ensembles, and then simultaneously displays the generated preview images and corresponding broadcasting service information on a screen.
